India total population is 140 crores. as income tax portal total number of registered user is 10,75,85,461. Total number of Individual registered user is 9,97,83715.
Total Number of credit card holder India is 6,76,00000 around
Total number of Four whaler in India is 29,60,00000 around
Total number of shopkeeper in ?
Total number of Landlord of more then one house in all India cities ?
Above mention person other than registered user at Income Tax portal are liable to pay Income tax but Income tax officer never focus on it .
Income tax officer always work on registered user only . They are voluntary file their return. Income tax officer select 3-4% case among it for scrutiny case
and ask for assessee various documents
But no officer work on how to increase tax payer in his area.
If Government and income tax officers work honestly there may more then 50 Crore tax payer in India.
